The Japanese Financial Services Agency (FSA) and the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation regarding cooperation and the exchange of information in the supervision and oversight of regulated entities that operate on a cross-border basis in Japan and the US.

The FSA and CFTC have expressed their willingness to cooperate with each other in the interest of fulfilling their respective regulatory mandates regarding derivatives markets. The MoC includes information sharing upon request, meetings to update each other and discuss, procedures for on-site visits amongst other things.
