The Government of Botswana has declared Monday 3rd July 2017 as a public holiday.
This is in line with Regulation 11 (1) of Public Service Regulations, 2011. Sir Seretse Khama day which falls on Saturday, 01 July 2017, is a paid public holiday for Public Officers. Regulation 11 (2) states that where a public holiday falls on a rest day, the next day following the rest day which is not itself a rest day shall be deemed to be a paid public holiday.
Consequently, Monday 3rd July will be a non-trading day on the Botswana Stock Exchange.
