CYPRUS: CySEC Cyprus responds to query concerning EU Short Selling Regulation

The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission has responded to a query concerning the format of notification to the relevant competent authority to avail of the Market Making and Authorised Primary Dealer exemptions under Article 17 of the EU Short Selling Regulation. The Regulator provided the following details:

“No notification method has yet been finalised. A letter to CySEC with all relevant information – send by fax will suffice. Any future new guidelines will be posted on our website.”
