There are detailed data taxonomies that need to be followed when preparing the AIFMD Annex IV report.
Many of these are set out in Annex IV of the AIFMD Regulation, where we find the Template Report.
These can then be more easily reviewed as follows:
ESMA’s Excel document, “AIFMD Reporting IT Technical Guidance”, Revision 4 of 23 September 2014 (ESMA 2013/1358). The Excel details XSD element names, field format, whether mandatory or optional etc. The folder also includes XML samples for AIF and AIFM reports.
ESMA’s “Table 3” on Geographical Areas which was published along with the IT Technical Guidance above.
ESMA’s Tables on AIFMD Reporting:
