As the old saying goes, teach a man to fish and he is fed for a day, teach a man to fix the price of fish and he will spend 40 months in prison.
Well this exactly what happened to formed Bumble Bee Foods CEO Christopher Lischewski who was caught in a scheme to artificially fix the price of canned tuna over the course of a year.
This fixing reduces natural competition in the market and ultimately provides a biased product to consumers.
This all comes as part of long standing litigation against the company. Bumble Bee itself filing for Chapter 11 in 2019.
