REFINITIV Webinar: The SEC’s Proposed Changes to Both Long and Short Shareholding Disclosure Requirements

Earlier this year the SEC proposed changes to modernise the major shareholding disclosure requirements under Section 13D/G of Securities and Exchange Act. They further introduced the requirement to disclose short positions on a monthly basis, if certain thresholds are met. These proposals are seen as one of the largest and most impactful changes to the shareholding disclosure space in a long time, and puts pressure on the industry to be sure they are ready for the modernisation of the disclosure rules in the United States.
