The Investment Association is pleased to invite you to its third annual Sustainability and Responsible Investment Conference on Wednesday 08 September. For the second year running, this conference will be a virtual event.
A New Era of Investing
In the year in which the UK hosts the COP26 UN climate conference, attention is focused more than ever on sustainability and working together towards an economy, society and planet fit for the future. 2021 marks a significant opportunity to reflect on and showcase how we are making progress towards the Paris Agreement goals, but also to continue to galvanise efforts and to mobilise public and private sector finance to drive net zero transition.
It also puts a spotlight on the many ways in which investment can have a transformative effect on our economy while delivering long-term sustainable investment returns for clients. We face a “New era of investing” in which promoting sustainability and responsible investment are the expected standard.
The conference will cover what sustainability and responsible investment means today, including in relation to:
- UK leadership in delivering responsible investment for our global clients
- Working together to address the climate crisis
- Listening to the voice of the next generation and ensuring a just transition
- How innovation and technology can be the solution to the big outstanding questions in responsible investing
