Up/Down Capture and the corresponding Up/Down Market Percentage Ratio measures the performance of a portfolio in up/down markets. The figure provides a comparable relative to the market or a given benchmark (i.e. to compare whether the portfolio rose more than the market in up-markets, and less than the market in down-markets).
